We are a family-owned business run by Maggie, Richard, and Jayne Abdy, with pewter-smithing in the blood. Jayne, our lead creative, trained in metalwork design here in the City of Sheffield. She follows in the footsteps of skilled pewter craftsman, Arthur Richard Wentworth, who founded Wentworth Pewter in 1949.

Marks of Authenticity

Our tankards come with our company marks, a sign of authenticity. Each piece will have some of our most notable marks, including "Made in Sheffield."

Lead-Free Alloy

Our alloy is regularly tested and is safe for food and drink. It does not contain any lead. Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper, and antimony.

Caring for Your Pewter

Your pewter gift will retain its lustrous finish with minimal care. If it has become dull, simply clean it with a metal polish before washing it by hand in hot, soapy water. Always polish in straight lines for the best results, and dry it with a soft cloth. We do not recommend using a dishwasher, as this can damage the metal.
